Bali weather in the wet season

Bali is steamy this time of year. Coming back from cold Oregon all the pores in my skin are open again and it feels good. Of course sitting in a place with no airflow makes me sweat, even without lifting a finger.

Todays temperature at sea level is 88f (31C) and steamy. We have not had heavy rain for a couple of days, although in late afternoon it clouds up and there are a few sprinkles. Walking downtown via the beach on friday afternoon I spotted people laying on recliners getting a tan and with the tropical sun being so powerful, its doesn’t take long. You may look more like you rare steak than Tarzan, but at least your friends will know you’ve been somewhere.

At night I sleep without AC, using just a fan and leaving the door open. I find that by burning a mozzie coil 10ft outside my door and having the fan on keeps me free from mozzies. To be honest the mosquitoes (nyamuk) are worse in the dry season, at the moment I can deal with them.

Here’s the 10 day weather forecast for Bali.

Off topic, however I’m coming to Bali in Feb. Is the Langhawa Beach Inn, Sari sanur, or Agung village the best choice? Any help would be great.
