Bali prisoner transfer in the pipeline

prisoner030106.jpgAustralia’s Foreign Minister, Alexander Downer is in Jakarta at the moments talking with members of the Indonesian government. Among the items discussed already were the possible clemency appeals for 2 Australians, Andrew Chan and Myuran Sukumaran, both sentenced to death for drug trafficking. Another issue was prisoner transfer between Australia and Indonesia. This is a complicated thing and can take years to work out, but with the number of young Australians facing lengthy jail sentences in Indonesia, looks like something that will be used.

Schapelle Corby will be taking a keen interest in all this too. She has a 20 year sentence that is not likely to be reduced. Would be interesting to hear what Schapelle’s thoughts are on returning to Australia.

Is Schapelle Corby the broad who was found with pounds of weed in her surfing bag and claimed it was not hers?
