Nick, Barbeque MasterSitting here on my porch on Sunday morning Wayan is in the kitchen cleaning and joking with Ika. Last night was the bbq and someone up there was listening to my request for good weather. After torrential rain saturday morning the skies cleared a bit and we were able to set things up and enjoy hanging out in the garden.

I picked up several pounds of chicken, steak and sausages from Bali Deli and salad items from Bintang supermarket. Sean and I rode down to Kuta Galleria for a couple of boxes of charcoal from Ace Hardware.

FridaThroughout the evening we probably had 20-25 people attend and people had a good time. Two of the biggest personalities there were Palu, the surfboard maker and Sean. At one point I looked up from the bbq and they were arm wrestling.

For drinks we got a case of beer, a bottle of arak, some Skyy vodka and an assortment of soft drinks and juice. People also brought drinks which was helpful as we got through a lot.

Sean bought a couple of small speakers for his iPod which cranked out some tunes for us and made everything complete.

PaluBarrie and Candika were in which is a first for them. Its always interesting for me to see a group of people from different walks of life and cultures intermingle. Last night we had people from Bali, Java, Lombok, USA, Taiwan, Australia, Holland, and UK.

I did invite a very cute girl to introduce to Sean. Unfortunately she got lost in my alley and only later did I discover her text messages lined up in my Inbox. Oh well, I cannot keep an eye on the meat and the ladies at the same time.
