Ask anyone in Bali, the Aussies are staying away right now. Can’t say I blame them with all the negative press, a bombing in 2005 and a lot of political nonsense over cartoons and refugees.
According to the Sunday Mail QLD, Thailand is the big winner, with Australian holiday makers taking the longer flight and
choose tum yum gung over nasi goreng. All in all I think both places are great for a holiday. One of the biggest factors though, is Bali’s access to everything, from the airport, beach, shopping, restaurants, nightlife, spas, surfing and mountains. I think the people who have been staying at the Discovery Kartika Plaza or the Bali Dynasty, will discover in Thailand, they either have to take another plane from Bangkok, or drive for a few hours to reach the beach.
