ASEAN to meet in Bali on wednesday

ASEAN (Association of South East Asian Nations) is having a meeting in Bali starting Wednesday. The subject of the meeting is a ASEAN Ministerial Meeting Retreat.

ASEAN meets frequently and utilizes the whole region. What a no-brainer Bali is for a meeting. International airport, great weather, world class hotels, fine restaurants and a break from the big city. If these guys can figure it out, maybe everyone else will follow.

The meeting will take place in Ubud from the 19th-20th. Western nations including France will sign a nonaggression pact, meaning a peaceful solution will always be the key to disputes between nations signing, a great thing I reckon. After a heavy day of diplomatic squirming, I recommend they all trek down to Cafe Lotus in Ubud, recline under the bales and get into a few arak madu’s. The world goes so much easier that way.
