Cheers Sean for putting the story up. I would however recommend that people do not venture into Central Java at this moment in time for obvious reasons!.

Nice read Barrie.
As you suggested Java isnt the place to be right now but i will going there as soon as the heat settles for some exploring .

Am planning my vacation to Bali. Can anyone advise me of really budget (2-star or anything at all) accomodation really near the beach with basic facilities like a/c, clean beds for two, bathrooms, etc. Affordable but clean and safe. Or any reliable website where I could find hotels or accomodations.

Thanks a lot…I’ll be in Bali end of August.
