The other day I visited Arjuna immigration consultants in Kerobokan close to where I live on Jalan Petitenget to collect my passport.
I’m on a business visa which means I can enter the country for 60 days and extend it 4 times for 30 days apeice. The price for the first 2 extensions 500,00orp. The price for the last 2 is 600,000rp.
Its a straight for process and involves me signing a couple of sheets of paper and them doing the rest.
While there I talked to Erni Widiastuti, my contact about the new visa regulations. They seem to get there info from the newspaper with the department of immigration seemingly not willing to communicate with anyone regarding its actions.
Erni told me she heard that the new rules might come into effect in October now.
I picked up a brochure of the service that Arjuna provide, including a range of visas and foreign investment services. Its a lot of info so I won’t type it all in here. Interestingly no prices were shown and Erni said that things change of course and have to be worked out for the time being.
For those interested the contact info I have is :
Arjuna Indonesian Legal Services
Jl. Pantai Petitenget No.9
Kerobokan,
Kuta,
Bali
They are reliable and have their act together in my opinion.
I had a meeting with a French friend Oliver today and he kindly gave me details of some ’secret routes’ around the island. Included were volcanos, villages and a secret beach! I’ not going to publish these as he asked me not to, but will take visitors, so get your ticket to Bali!

Nick,
60 days + 4*30 days (120) = 180 days or 6 mths.
You have been in Bali for 7 months - which is past the max you desribe above? Is this something to do with the “business” visa you got in Singapore?
(I’m worried you won’t be there in Nov when my wife and i arrive and want to take you out for a couple of Bintangs!).
Cheers,
Dunk.
