Anti pornography bill supporters and protesters have been getting into it in Jakarta recently. The thinly veiled
conservative Muslim, anti-pornography bill, attempts to shut down anything that doesn’t fit into a Muslim mold. Intimidating opposition and twisting the meaning of the anti-pornography bill are part of the deal.

Recently in Jakarta, a mass rally involving thousands of people, as well as famous dangdut dancer Inul, went very well. People from all walks of life, including a former 1st lady of Indonesia, protested against the anti-pornography bill.

Today, organizers of the rally were intimidated by groups of people and high profile attendees, like Inul, asked to leave Jakarta. Who has the right to ask / tell / threaten people to keep quiet, or leave a place? This is part of the thug culture that Indonesia has, and Muslim fundamentalists use this to their advantage.
