Ambon Dive Center: In the news again

Indonesia attracts visitors for all kinds of reasons, one of which is scuba diving (can any of you bright sparks tell me what scuba stands for without using Google?). Ambon in the Maluku’s is listed as a trouble spot by many foriegn countries, but as a high point for many divers.

A friend of mine Mike, has a business in Ambon taking people diving and hiking. Mike told me about how supportive the governor of Ambon is and he actually handed the keysof the Ambon dive center over to Mike and his friend, hoping they would make a go of it. So far they are the only dive company on Ambon, nice and quiet.

A Jakarta Post article talked about the Ambon Dive Center and Barrie commented on that article in his site, PlanetMole.
