Bali is a becoming a place where expats and part-time stayers look to build a villa. Bali has 20,000 hotel rooms, ranging from bargain basement to luxury. Not everyone wants a hotel though and private villas are the new way to go. You could build your own, re inventing the wheel as you go, or buy a ready made villa form a proper company.

For someone who needs a quality abode in the party scene, which can generate a decent income (when time are good) these high places offer a solution.
