A long way away from Bali

Bali is a great place to come to and a hard place to leave. After spending 2 years exploring the island I am rendezvousing with my colleagues from BootsnAll in Oregon USA.

Our office is in Portland, the biggest city there and for the last week we have been at a cabin in the mountains of central Washington at a town called Leavenworth which is modeled on a Bavarian village.

Our cabin was fantastic with multiple bedrooms, a kitchen and a wood fire. Strange for me to be in a cold climate again but refreshing.

Some people will remember Donovan who I went to the Gili Islands with not so long ago. He was one of the cast and we all a great time trying to build a snowman. The snow kept pouring and next day our efforts were kind of distorted, but it was great nonetheless.

For people who have never visited the Pacific NW of the US I highly recommend it. Sweeping valleys, high desert, thick forests and not many people.

After a week in London visiting my family I will be back in Bali just in time for New Years and look forward to running into many cool people who visit in 2005.

G’Day Nick,

Great to see that you are enjoying yourself and freezin’ your butt off!. Although, that log fire and a few malts would take the chill off everything.

Amazing fotos mate, but a tad too cool for my liking. Give me the tropics anytime.

Hey Donovan,

Good er…snowman. are ya boastin’ or what?.

Hi Rex,

He’d be no good in Bali with that twinkie – it’d melt on him before…well you know!
