10,000 march in favor of anti-pornography bill
The highly publicized anti-pornography bill has its supporters and oponents. On Sunday 10,000 supporters marched in Jakarta to the parliament building.
They hope the bill passes, which will make pornografi and pornoaski illegal, and punishable by jail sentences. I’m sure pornothinki will be added, as soon as the government has a way to measure a person’s thoughts. Women’s groups have complained in the past, that the anti-pornography bill targets the actions, or supposed actions of women, rather than actually dealing with pornography. Members of the Balinese community have protested strongly against the proposed bill, as they see it as a Trojan horse, used to limit their cultural / religious life.
