10 ideas for things to do in the Kuta area

Visitors come to Bali for a variety of reasons including the culture, the beach, the shopping, the nightlife and the people.

Sometimes however you need a fun activity that will occupy you for a couple of hours and provide some form of escape.

Here’s 10 fun activities you can do for a couple of hours in the Kuta area.

1. Take a surfing lesson at the Hard Rock Hotel on Kuta Beach.

2. Go for a bungy jump at AJ Hackett’s at Double Six in Legian.

3. Watch a movie at 21 Cineplex in the Bali Galleria at Simpang Siur roundabout in Kuta.

4. Go bowling at Kuta Paradiso Bowling and Billiards on Jl. Kartika Plaza (close to Pizza Hut).

5. Take a day cruise to Nusa Lembongan on a Bali Hai yacht leaving from the port of Benoa (not strictly the Kuta area but within striking distance for someone staying in Kuta). Romantic dinner cruises go everyday too.

6. Visit one of the 3 best restaurants in Kuta for an affordable feast and good time.

7. Have fun riding the shoots at Waterbom Park on Jl.Kartika Plaza.

8. Watch a live band at the Hard Rock Hotel (Centerstage) or Hard Rock Cafe (pub) on Jl. Pantai Kuta.

9. Visit the Bali Adventure Tours elephant park north of Ubud. This place can be accessed in a day for those staying in Kuta.

10. Sign up for the Peanuts Pub Crawl and visit some of Kuta favourite watering holes with other friendly people.
