Bali is a tight little community and you often see the same names popping up. This is the case at Kerobokan jail and the Bali District Court, where a few well known legal names are in constant demand.
Recent movements involve Schapelle Corby’s lawyer, Erwin Siregar, taking up the cases of 3 Bali nine members, Matthew Norman, Si Yi Chen and Thanh Duc Tan Nguyen. The 3 are having a case review in the Indonesian Supreme Court, and a constitutional challenge. Erwin Siregar is waiting for a Supreme Court review of Schapelle Corby’s case.
Denpasar District Court had a mini-drama yesterday, when the lawyer representing the 3 Bali bombers, walked out of the court. Fahmi Bachmid stormed out of the courtroom, after attempting to convince the judges to move the appeal to Java.
