Australian drowns off of East Bali

An elderly Australian has drowned off of East Bali. The 82 year old woman was snorkeling at the time. This takes the week’s total to 3 Australians you have come to grief in the ocean.

On saturday a surfer drowned off of Seminyak beach, and on Sunday a surfer was listed as missing after surfing at Uluwatu. Scary stull and shows just how easily you can get into trouble. I almost drowned in QLD Australia years ago and it is a terrifying realization, when it happens. The safest way to snorkel in Bali, is to go with a group and hire a boat.

I am a good swimmer but the closest I ever came to being afraid of water was at Kuta, where I rented a board for the first time and thought surfing was easy. I almost drowned. It was not a pleasant feeling. BE CAREFUL!!
