Nick: This is a great site, well done! I’ve found this site in a Taiwanese Bali Travel Forum. I am original from Taiwan and live in the suburb of Chicago. My first trip to Bali was in 1989, since then my sisters and I keep visiting Bali. Reading your “Daily” and “Expat Life” let me believe Bali is still active, what a sham if it’s not! I know after twice bombing Bali has been very slow, very quiet. I will be in Bali in the end of June, leaving in August. I got 60 days visa in Chicago. Would like to meet you before I leave Bali, or you will be in Europe still? Anyway, I want to say my appreciation for this web-site and works you are doing.

In one message someone asked for a microscope – what type are you looking for? I’d like to try and find you one. I’ll be in Bali in 6 weeks.

I’ve a question too. Any ideas how to sell a beautiful plot of land in the north of Bali which is in a locals name. As a young impresional girl I bought it – fell in love with Bali – still am – but don’t know what to do with land.

Hi Nick, I was wondering if you or anyone else in the forum could help me help a family of four (husband and wife, and their one year old baby girl plus five year old son) from Maryland, US, plan their visit to Bali this June. They are thinking about staying for 6 weeks and would try homestays.

Which part of Bali would you highly recommend where it is family friendly, where once in a while the parents can still have fun exploring Bali’s cultures and daily lives, while their children are babysat by responsible caregivers?

Do you have a good website which details informations on affordable rates on villas or guesthouses?

The couples are into arts and dances. It will be swell if their kids can learn to dance balinese, too. I myself am from Jakarta, Indonesia, who is currently living in Maryland and had been to Bali once in 2003. I told the couple that once they go there they will be addicted. I appreciate your reply. We have just arrived home from 16 great days in Bali. We visted Lombok and the Gili Islands – great places even though we had 3 days of rain!. It was our 1st time to Bali and the people were so friendly always smiling despite the problems they are experiencing. Our Son and Daughter are still in Benoa in the rain! But what the heck! Definatley will be returning to Bali in the future.

Hi, kudos on ur very informative website. Your reviews on the hotels have given us a lot of options on where to stay. Do you have any information on Bamboo Bed & Breakfast located at Jl. Legian? I will be leaving for Bali this coming April and am interested in trying out the place. From what I’ve seen on the internet, the the place looks new and clean, although there are only 7 rooms. I would appreciate if you could do a review on that place. Thanks!
