Name:Nita

Age:26

Place of work:6th Sense Surf shop

Where were you the evening the bombing happened? What were you doing?:

I was here working. Sitting at the desk. My husband gets a scratch from flying glass, I got a little scratch.

When the bomb went off what did you see?:

People were running up Poppies II screaming. I think its an electric station explosion. My worst moment was the explosion, I saw the fire and everything was dark.

Did you know anyone who died or was injured? When was the last time you saw them?:

My husband was cut. I ran Poppies II with my husband then he walked back to get our motorcycle. He picked me up and we started heading towards Poppies I. After about 500 meters he started to feel weak and we noticed he had blood coming out of his lower back.

We took him to hospital and found he had a 6 inch gash about an inch deep. I stayed at the hospital till 5am.

What did you do in the days following the bombing?:

Our shop was closed for 1 week. We cleaned the shop, took my things home and attended to my husband’s wound.

What stories, rumors, facts etc. did you hear about what had happended?:

I heard it was a political act by terrorists in Indonesia. People said terrorists won’t come for 5 years.

How has the bombing affected your life and the lives of those around you?:

My economy stopped. I have not worked for 2 months until the renovation finished. I borrowed money from my boss for food.

I had trouble sleeping for 1 month. When I hear a loud noise I’m easily startled.

What do you think of Bali’s economic and tourist situation, both now and in the future?:

The tourists are starting coming back. In 1 year it will be good, many Japanese, French, Italian, Australians too.

What would you like to say to the people who did this?:

I’m angry. Maybe I’d punch them.

What would you say to tourists considering coming to Bali?:

Bali’s okay now.

Hello
My name is Respati, I am in search for a new Indonesia manufacturer to produce my balance boards. The balance boards are 7 ply of maple, they are flat with a little rolled up angle on each side. I need a manufacturer to produce a high quality product at reasonable price.
I hope you can help me.

Best regards
Respati
