Hunting with Made

Made and his brother picked us up at our place with their motorcycles and we scouted 3 houses in the Kuta / Legian area. All these were affordable and the prices negotiable. This lady was living at the last place in Legian which was the cheapest.

3 amigos

Sean & Made ( Ma Day).

Right after that we had lunch at a very nice place called Kori Restaurant with my friend Putu who will be teaching me Indonesian.

It’s my most favourite place on the planet.Fell in love with the place a couple of years ago. Last visited it in 1999 and have dreamt of living there ever since. Anyway just wanted to say I enjoy your site and this aussie girl looks forward to your daily updates!!!!!!!!

Cindy,

Bali is woonderful and I’m lucky to be here. I’m looking forward to working with the local businesses to promote the island as a destination and bring back the economy.

Right now the tourist industry is in serious decline but I really feel it will come back strong when this current sewt of toursits tell their friends how cheap things are and what a great choice you have.

This is THE time to come to Bali.

Looking forward to your comments in future.

Aloha from Maui! We would love to visit Bali for about a year, does anyone have some leads on a inexpensive house or villa to rent long term? preferably by the beach or upcountry in a cool setting.
Hope to hear from someone soon,
Cathy

Cathy,

Here in Seminyak / Kerobokan there are many villas for rent. This is the main expat neighborhood and you will see notice boards in many cafes in the area advertising places for rent.

Bali Land & House is a company that rents places out on behalf of owners too.

Canggu just up the coast is one the beach and there is development there.

I suggest coming out for a coup[le of weeks to scout out where will suit you. There are plenty of leads ( I see notices up all the time ) but whether they will suit you or your budget is up to you.
