Well, maybe it wasn't quite that dramatic…
I said my good-byes to the Heidrich's and other folks in Brisbane in the past 24 hours. When I came up to the Qantas counter, (the bloke looked like a twin of BootsnAll writer Craig Hermes, he told me blah, blah, blah - my passport runs out in 5 months, you are required to have a passport that is valid for 6 months. His supervisor came over and they called Sydney and a few other folks.
The end result is that I need to go to the Indonesian Consulate for an exemption or something like that. They re-sceduled my flight for Tuesday. Let’s hope that I can sort it out by then. Until then and with all this extra time, I will have 3 pieces coming up for you…
1. Peregian Beach with Travel God Jay and wife Debbie
2. Meeting Brendan: One of the Original Boots’n'All boyz
3. I can’t remember the other one…

I just mopped your room, that means I’ve got to do it again on Tuesday.
Six month rule applies for most Asean countries..Crazy as they only give you a 60 day tourist visa on arv.
Cheers
Hopefully I can get it sorted tommorrow…
Next time I go to Oz I’m going to try and set the same exact thing up with my passport just so I can get stranded at the Heidrichs. Rough life Sean.
Unfortunately I think mine is good for ten years. I’ll have to see what 5 mo passports are going for on the black market? Do they sell those in Bali?
Good news is that I’ve upgraded my Netscape and can now post comments to your blog!
this web site is really rather bizarre.someone obviously has too much time up their sleeve…. good luck to you…. i stumbled upon this by accident and am jealous that i am not there…
That bloody passport! Good to hear you met up with Bren though. Can’t wait to hear about it.
