Interview with Brian Moore in Kuta Bali-part II

Brian Moore is a lover or travel, people and music. Like me, he doesn’t really play any instruments, but he loves world music and various other stuff.

Brian told me the other night he was out at Double Six till 5am, enjoying the scene, chatting to people and having a boogie. Around 5am he caught a ride home on an ojek (motorbike taxi). He said part of the way home it poured and he got soaked. “That really sucks.” I said. “No, it was so refreshing,” he said, “we live such regulated lives and this was a chance to be free.”

He is heading over to Gili Trawangan in a couple of days and has plans. Gili Trawangan is a sand island off of Lombok. There is no running water, a tiny population and no agriculture. Brian said that he wanted to explore ways to help the local people develop ways to deal with pollution, fresh water and electricity. His long term fantasy is to have a ’sunset bar’ welcoming travellers to the island.

You never know what is possible.
