Good list Nick,
Here is my list of 10 NOT to do:
1 Don’t buy take or get involed in any way with drugs
2 Dont travel without travel insurance
3 Dont travel anyware without credit card travel insurance (tortolagy I know) and passport and a basic first aid kit. Anything else you can buy when needed.
4 Dont get dehydrated - amazing but it does get hot and humid in Bali!
5 Dont spend your holiday drinking beer in a bar watching sport - you might as well stay at home. Travel around and see the whole island there is a lot out there.
6 Dont drive without a licence. It will normally work out cheaper to pay a driver than the Bali Police Christmas fund. I know Indonesia has a corruption problem but there is no need for you to encourage it.
7 Dont treat the locals like serfs just because they are poorer than you. I hate this and see it all the time.
8 Dont get ripped off but dont be mean. Just remember as soon as you think wow I could get rich doing this, then that is when you are getting conned.
9 Dont believe everything you are told! Just because you are on holiday does not mean everyone has suddenly lost the ability to lie!
10 Dont be stupid
But do have fun!!!
