Wet season in Bali means Nusa Dua, Sanur Reef, Serangan and Keramas are the go to places for surfing. People still surf over the west side in place such as Kuta and Legian however lately the wet windy weather has meant empty beaches recently.

Wet season is here in Bali and the surfers have to adjust to surfing the eastern side of the south coast. Looking a swell chart for Bali we can see a nice size swell on its way in. Over the weekend Uluwatu will be enjoying a steady 7.5ft swell height, at 13-14 second intervals. The best is yet to come though and as of Monday the predicted swell height will reach 10.5ft at 16 second intervals, [...]

The surfing season in Bali continues with its highs and lows. Right now the swell is average, slackening off over the next few days and looking good for Sunday & Monday. MagicSeaweed is a pretty good site for the raw data, with easy to read charts.

Surfers in Bali got their money’s worth today, with strong swell, big waves and sunny conditions. As BaliWaves says, conditions were a bit wild but even I had people smsing me telling me the surf was up.

Bali and much of the south coast of Indonesia has been pounded by big waves recently, due to a combo of high winds and the lunar cycle. According to Indonesia’s meteorology department, big waves will continue, for a while but with less force than over the last week.
