Singapore the ‘go to’ hospital destination for Bali expats

Singapore is the ‘go to’ place for Bali expats, when they have a medical emergency. Locally we have a couple of good clinics, SOS International and BIMC, and Sanglah hospital in Denpasar for emergency surgery. If you need surgery and you have the choice, get on a plane to Singapore.
Bali tourist flung by elephant

Australian tourist was picked up and flung by a male elephant, while enjoying a family vacation in Bali. Mrs. Robyn Paki was seriously injured when the large elephant she had ridden, tossed her through the air, causing leg and head injuries.

One of the victims of the 2005 Bali Bombing, is still in the morgue. According to the Bali Advertiser, Mr Riber Kunt Haags aged 35 , from Holland, is still occupying a refrigerator in Sanglah hospital mortuary.
