This afternoon I met up with Palu, the Aussie guy from Byron who has a surfboard factory on the Bukit. Palu specializes in big yellow sleds, for learners. If you want to wipe out half a dozen Kuta Cowboys in one go, borrow one of Palu’s boards, they are surfing’s equivalent to the Humvee.

Surfer Girl: Bali’s own all girl surf shop

Surfer Girl is one of Bali’s most well known shops. Located on Jl. Legian in Kuta, the shop offers bright, fun beach wear for ladies. Surfer Girl is owned by an Australian guy, who is a great supporter of local charities, and helps out at the Kuta Karnival.

Stussy shop is a surfer oriented shop, located at the bottom end of Jl. Legian in Kuta. They don’t sell surf boards and leg ropes, just casual wear and accessories.
