By Nick | November 20th, 2006 |Looking around for Indonesian food this afternoon (Ocha’s Warung in closed for 2 weeks), I strolled down Jl. Legian to Ibu Ayu (mother Ayu). Ibu Ayu is a simple place that serves a selction of items including tempe, tahu (tofu), sapi rendang (beef in sauce), and other favourites.

Vegetarian Indonesian food
By Nick | November 1st, 2006 |Vegetarians visiting Bali will have no problem at all, finding delicious food. The selection of international restaurants is amazing. You might go for a spinach lasagna at Warung Italia, a vegetarian Indian dish at Gateway to India, or a vegetarian Meditereanean plate at Zula, on Jl. Dhyana Pura. But how about Indonesian food?

Cheap eats on Jl. Padma Legian Bali
By Nick | May 29th, 2006 |Ika and I recently discovered an inexpensive place to eat in Legian, called Warung Yogya. Actually it was Ika’s sister Ningrum, the price shopper, who turned us on to it. Warung Yogya is located on Jl. Padma, across from one of those busy DVD stores.
Going to Raja’s in Seminyak
By Nick | May 20th, 2006 |Raja’s restaurant has re-opened in Seminyak. The October 2005 bomb target, now has a massive upstairs location, across the Bintang supermarket parking lot. I went there the other night for some nasi campur.
