Qatar Airways will start a service to Bali, extending its current route to Jakarta. As many people will know, Qatar is an emirate, located in the Persian Gulf. Its economy is based on oil and in recent years there has been a massive effort to modernize.

Indonesia has said it will not stop its citizens from travelling to the Middle East to join Muslim fighters against Israel. A spokesman said while the government hoped travel would be used for good purposes, it would not block anyone from coming back. Here’s more from Antara new agency.
Indonesian interfaith group denounces mid East violence

An interfaith group in Jakarta has passed on a message to the United Nations, condeming the violence in the Middle East. I have a friend in Israel who emailed me today, this is what she said.
