Australian PM John Howard will visit Bali later this week to meet Indonesian President SBY. Mr Howard will open a special eye hospital dedicated to the victims of Bali terrorism. Here’s more from the Jakarta Post.

Australia’s official line on capital punishment, is that it is barbaric, and should not be allowed anywhere. The Australian government has in the past, and will again, use that stance to plead leniency for Aussies convicted of serious offences overseas.

Cartoons are for kids…I thought

Cartoons have been getting way too much attention these days, with adults behaving like 5 years olds because someone drew a nasty one. The genre has just been furthered by Indonesian and Australian newspapers publishing cartoons of each other’s President in a compromising position.
