Guide to Padma area in Legian Bali

Last year I wrote about the beach / surfing break at Jl. Padma, in Legian. For beginning / intermediate surfers, who are tired of Kuta Beach / Halfway etc., but like the idea of being downtown, Padma is a good option.

The long awaited event finally happened, Laura made it back to Bali with her husband Mickey. I met up with them at Billy’s Esky, a Balinese owned drink stall on the beach just up from Jl. Melasti. Traffic stops and international licences in Bali

A recent letter to the Bali Advertiser complained that tourists were being pulled over at certain places in Kuta while riding motorbikes. The writer said he watched 3 tourists on 2 motorbikes get pulled over, while locals without helmets were not.
