Jevon is almost 1.5 years old and is coming along nicely. He’s healthy, alert and Ika has taught him to count to 10, and learn 14 letters of the alphabet. While I was drinking beer and tapping away at a downtown internet cafe in Ubud, Ika was secretly getting getting Jevon a haircut. He needed one, but he got the ‘full meal deal’ with his hair taken right down to the wood.

Ika’s visa not granted in Jakarta

Just heard this morning, that Ika was rejected, for a visa to visit the UK. They don’t give a reason, but if she wants to pursue it, she can attend an interview in Jakarta, on June 6th.

Our porch backs directly onto the garden, which, minus the mosquitoes, is cool. This afternoon Ika came upstairs to tell me there was a snake in the garden. When I got down there it had disappeared, but she said it was wrapped around the papaya tree.
