One place that particularly took my attention was the near completion of the Discovery Mall on Jalan Kartika Plaza. At that time I can recall [...]

Kafe Batan Waru: Tuban

By Barrie | May 10th, 2008 | Add a Comment »

As a great lover of Javanese food I am a regular patron at Kafe Batan Waru in Tuban. The sister restaurant to the one in Ubud, the cuisine is just as delicious and although not in a garden setting, the décor more than makes up for this. Located opposite Waterbom Park in Tuban and a [...]

One might think Indonesia was a great place to shop, but as the Jakarta [...]

This evening I had dinner in one of the restaurants, at the back of Discovery Mall in Tuban. Yesterday afternoon after returning to Kuta from the Discovery Mall, I stopped into good old Made’s Warung. This joint has been going since the 70’s and is famous with Bali visitors. Their menu includes, Indonesian, Balinese and western dishes. Running in I saw one of the bench seats next to the street was empty. Great! [...]
