Indonesian police today shot and killed member of JI (Jemaah Islamiyah) in a safe house in Central Java. The most wanted man in Indonesia Noordin Top, narrowly escaped. Earlier this year his partner in tread, and architect of the Bali bombs, Azahari, was shot and killed by Indonesian police.

Bali’s High Court saw the appeal of convicted heroin traffickers, Myuran Sukumaran and Andrew Chan rejected. The 2 Sydney men were the ring leader of the drug smuggling gang, and were sentenced to death by Denpasar District Court in February. Reading the Jakarta Post today I see the latest tourism figures are way down on last year. The month before the October 1st Bali Bomb II, we got 162,102 arrivals. October gave us 81,109 and November only 62,705.
