Arriving at Ngurah Rai airport Bali

By Nick | August 31st, 2007 | 2 Comments »

My visa run to run to Singapore today saw me catch a Bluebird taxi (0361)701111, pre-arranged, from Seminyak to the International Departure terminal at Ngurah Rai, for 43,000rp. The journey took about 15 minutes due to no traffic and a race car driver.

Ngurah Rai airport Bali

Ngurah Rai airport in Bali is a funky little place. They place a jazzy version of Balinese traditional tunes over the loudspeaker, there are ‘Oleh oleh Bali’ (Bali gift shops) around and the compact, rundown nature of the place somehow fits with Bali’s village type image.

How many of you can remember when the airport in Denpasar was literally a tin shed in the paddock?. Ngurah Rai has undergone monumental changes over the last couple of decades to become a truly international gateway.

Bali Dynasty Resort: Tourism coming back

By Nick | May 24th, 2006 | 1 Comment »

Bali Dynasty Resort in Tuban is one of the favorite family hotels for Aussies. Located just a mile from the airport, right on the beach and within easy reach of the shopping in Tuban and Kuta, Bali Dynasty Resort is an easy choice.
