Air Paradise (’Bali is our home’) is a local airline that was launched in 2003 and folded in 2005, after Bali Bomb II. Wonderful things can happen, and the latest news is Air Paradise is to fly again in March 2007.

An Indonesian businessman has shown keen interest in taking over Bouraq airline which has not operated since early this year due to prolonged financial problems according to a Business News report.

It is definitely cutthroat this airline business in Indonesia. The national carriers of which there are many are undercutting each other on fare prices and as such are not up to scratch in the areas most important and that being of its customers.

I have always flown Garuda Airlines whenever I have travelled to Indonesia and domestically I have always tried to board a Garuda flight but sometimes it has been unavoidable and I had to use another carrier.
Tourism numbers fall in Bali

Reading the Jakarta Post today I see the latest tourism figures are way down on last year. The month before the October 1st Bali Bomb II, we got 162,102 arrivals. October gave us 81,109 and November only 62,705.

Australian Airlines extends service to Bali

Australian Airlines has announced it would add a fourth weekly service to Bali from Sydney and offer a weekly service between Perth and Bali during December and January. Air Paradise has suspended service. Qantas has agreed to get passengers back to Australia.
