Seminyak is loaded with restaurants and warungs. Jl. Oberoi is sometimes referred to as 'eat street' and leads directly into Jl. Petitenget, where the selection of high class eating places continues. One place I stopped into recently was Warung Traditional located across the street from Venue @ The Moon. Warung Traditional looks like a modern warung from the outside with a small tidy parking area and a shady set of tables, 2 of them raised in Japanese style. The place is simple inside with white table cloths, a bamboo roof and seating for about 50 people. Warung Traditional features a mostly Indonesian menu with a few western items, including Tomato Salad (17,500), Guacamole (19,500) and Avocado Shrimp Cocktail (22,500) in the Appetizer menu. My sate babi was fantastic.
The other menu sections, Soup, Main Course, Sandwiches or Jaffles, Pasta, Pizza, Side Dishes, Dessert, feature Nasi Campur (25,500rp), Sate Babi (29,500), Sirloin Steak (65,000) and Spaghetti Bolognese (25,500rp) among others. All prices are subject to 10% government tax. Warung Traditional also has a full cocktail and drink list, small Bintang (10,000rp), Margarita (45,000rp). Warung Traditional is open for lunch and dinner.
