Seminyak seems to have great little warungs popping up all over the place. When Angie was over recently she gave me the hot tip about a little joint on Jl. Oberoi called Warung Hujan (rain). It is located on the corner of Jl. Oberoi and Jl. Drupadi and serves a nasi campur style of Indonesian food. I like the big banner they have outside that says, hygiene, delicious, cheap. Those are winning characteristics and I think they might do okay, especially with expats living in the neighborhood. When I showed up at 1pm 1 other westerner was sitting out front eating and there were a couple of Indonesians sitting at the inside section.
Choosing tempe, chicken, green beans and other items, my lunch was served with steamed rice and cost 10,000rp. For a drink I ordered a pineapple juice for 5,000rp. Both were good and I will probably make it back. I'd say my favourite Indonesian place is either Gossip or Murah, but this place was decent. Thanks Angie

Nick,
Do you think there is a market for a good Texas style BBQ grill joint down there in Bali?
Imagine this: juicy oz beef grilled slowly over a brick oven/stove/grill with fire from burning coconut shells and a bit of mesquitte chips to give it the proper smell and taste. I can also do beef briskets, chikens and sausages.
