Upstairs in Bintang supermarket in Seminyak Bali
Living in Seminyak I am lucky to have Bintang supermarket so close. I am some what used to Home Depot and Jerry’s (2 US stores) that sell good stuff and bend over backwards to keep customers. Upstairs in Bintang has all kinds of home repair stuff, hammers, plugs, bulbs, hinges etc. Its cheap stuff, but the cost is low. The Balinese staff are all nice.
They don’t really know how things work, like the experts at Home Depot (you go to any part of that store and you have a guy with 20 years experience ), but its a different kind of service here, slower, less efficient, but quite civilized. Downstairs they have baby products and I like the way the place is laid out. The ‘Baby Need’ section, being next to the hard liquor, very convenient for me.
