Another place I hit on Sunday night was Sin City. Guys who love sport will love this place. The name is something of a misnomer, it's a classy place, with a restaurant, lounge bar and big screen TV. I met the owner Jeffry from Bali and told him how much my brother Chris and I liked his place.
Ika loves the food and asked if we can go back sometime. He has spent a ton of money on this place and right now is hurting for business. It's nothing to do with the bomb, it's a question of wrong product for the clientele in the area. Chris said if sin City was anywhere in London the guy would be making bank. British people love sport and a place with great food, music, comfortable chairs and modern design would be a magnet. Here in Seminyak the environment is quite different. Most people here are either Euros from France and Italy or Aussies. Most of them are into arts / fashion / furniture and most surf. Nobody is into soccer believe me.
When I call up friends who live here, not a single person is interested in watching soccer with me, I'm always alone, with random tourist. The Seminyak crowd goes out for drinks, good food and cashing the chicks. Not sport. I told Jeffry if he handed me his joint (figuratively, not literally), I would clear out the tables on Friday and Saturday nights, bring in a DJ, pump up the hip hop, get some PR staff, sexy dancers and do drink specials. Right now Sin City is a babe without a date. Small tactical changes could see it pumping and turning a profit, even after the bomb. I also told Jeffry that I'm not interested in techno, but would still come if he leaves Sunday the same for Formula 1 and soccer. If you are staying in Seminyak, check out Sin City across from Santa Fe, it's a classy place with great food!

Yeah its a shame because he’s got a prime location, a barn size space that’s been nicely built, great food.
My last week there a two storey lounge bar/club place opened about fifty yards down the street from Sin City, on the same side, and seemed to be heaving with people. They were cranking the tunes.
