Stussy: Kuta Bali
Stussy shop is a surfer oriented shop, located at the bottom end of Jl. Legian in Kuta. They don’t sell surf boards and leg ropes, just casual wear and accessories. In the surfing industry all the real margins are in accessories anyway. Who wants the agro of making a surfboard with just a $100 profit margin, when you can knock out shirt and shorts at a factory in Denpasar, for next to nothing and sell them for $30.
Located 2 doors down from Kunti Japanese restaurant, Stussy is open 8am - 10pm. When I stopped in there was one young lady named Made behind the counter. She told me she liked working there and had been for the last 2 years. Looking at the goods on sale I saw a selection of hats in the 200,000rp range, tank tops for 185,000rp, and handbags for 215,000 - 365,000rp. Stussy also sells sandals and sunglasses.
