Okay I had to check it out. It may not be the most traditional thing in Bali but in 20 years they will be more prevalent than temples. The new Starbucks on Jl. Legian in Kuta sits between Paddy's and Apache Reggae Bar and is a 2 storey place. The building is small but features some limited seating outside, sofa type seating downstairs inside and balcony seating outside upstairs. The balcony overlooks Jl. Legian and is good for checking out the tourists. Starbucks is usually fairly empty and this one is the same. Plenty of room upstairs to sit along and type. When I arrived Paddy's were giving their sound-system a workout and this provided and strange counter to Starbuck's cruisy jazz. Starbucks is very popular with tourists from Asia and while I was there, a young couple from Indonesia came in. They were probably from Jakarta and were obviously enjoying there vacation. She was hotter than Georgia asphalt and he was no doing his best to keep her entertained.
One of the staff, Lassie from Jakarta, told me that this branch will stay open 24 hours on Saturday and Sunday. Open till midnight the rest of the time.

G’Day Nick,
Love that jazz!. Reckon I’ll be checking it out. After all, it’s diagonally opposite the Prawita!.
Hey I think it’s in the location that had a Wendy’s in it in 1997.
