Pantai Geger: Nusa Dua Bali

The term ‘Seminyak Wanker’ has been used before to describe some of the inmates of this neighborhood. The SW is basically a Euro Trash expat who has accomplished nothing in life except move to Bali. They have some favorite watering holes and yesterday Ika, Jevon and I stumbled onto a hornets nest. We have been to Pantai Geger once before when she was pregnant. The thing that we remembered was the quiet beach, safe swimming and good smooties from the restaurant. This Sunday we all jumped on the motorbike and headed down there.

The sun was blazing and everybody was out, most of them with their kids. Pantai Geger is located next to the Bali Golf & Country Club, on the southern edge of Nusa Dua. To get there from Kuta you head towards Nusa Dua, then take a right at the big intersection after the McDonalds. Keep going up the hill and in 5 minutes you’ll be in the area.
Ask locals if in doubt.

This particular afternoon the beach was full of Italians, 40 year old women running around topless wearing the tiniest of bikini bottoms, their 3 kids all whining about wanting more food / drinks / things to do. I took Jevon in for a dip but I think the small waves freaked him out. During the week this beach will be way quieter and the nice thing is beach vending is

Hey Nick,

Geger is my fave beach in Bali. I always wander away from the crowds and find a quiet spot when I need some time out. I even bought a little stone home from Geger to Aus so I have a little piece to remember.
