No Tarzan in this Treehouse

There comes a time when ya just gotta let the stomach slow down!. Candika and I were at the Internet Outpost, and in walked Josh. His first words were: Light lunch today…please!. It’s not as if you can just rock down to your nearest sandwich bar. Hey, get real….you’re in Bali!. So, off we intrepid trio cruised to Poppies Lane 1 in search of a bloody good sanger!.

The only wood in this treehouse are the tables and chairs!. The Treehouse restoran is all brick with stone facades giving the restoran its expanse. Actually, it is a well set out restoran. When we were there for lunch, quite a few people wandered in for tucker. Just by looking through the menu, I can imagine this place being extremely busy at night.

Speaking of menus, the Treehouse restoran possesses a delightful one. In fact it’s selection is enormous!. It was refreshing to see a top range of salads, spaghetti and pasta at affordable prices. Ya have to check out the monstrous pizza list. Even Leo Da Vinci would have been amazed!. There are special sections for meat dishes, as well as chicken and fish. All of which have different and refreshing recipes used in their cooking.

I was not disappointed with the small and variable Indonesian section. The Treehouse restoran is geared for Westerners with good Western tucker available. This is evident in the large grill section of the menu. A delightful range to choose from. There is also an unusual Sweet & Sour section which holds a few pleasant surprises.

Hey, ya gotta check out the Dessert section!. With delicacies like MANGO PANCAKE with HONEY ICE-CREAM, it’s a diabetics nightmare!. But, we intrepid trio were here for a bit of light tucker. One gecko at the sandwich and burger section of the menu was enough to turn that ‘light lunch’ into a heavy one!.

Candika went against the norm and ordered CHICKEN CORN SOUP (Rp6,500). “I can’t eat all that!” she firmly stated, but five minutes later it was all gone. Candika commented on the thickness of the soup being the right texture, heaps of chicken pieces and just the right amount of corn.

Josh had the CLUB SANDWICH (Rp11,000) and a serving of GARLIC BREAD (Rp4,000). Joah gave the big ‘thumbs-up’ to his sanger which contained everything but yesterday’s news!. He said the garlic bread was a tad soft in texture with not enough garlic.

I was the only one to have a light lunch!. The HAM & CHEESE JAFFLE (Rp5,000) was hoplessly made. Far too small, and the filling equivalent to a kids serving. Oh well, can’t win ‘em all eh!.

Atmosphere: Above Pleasant
Food Quality: On Par
Service: Good
Rating: 6.5

And…..last but not least. Josh gave the loos a rating of 6.

Pancakes with ice cream is my favorite. The mango and honey angle sounds like a good one.
