One of the places I always see advertised in the Beat Magazine is an Italian restaurant called Nero Bali. Located on Jl. Legian across from Aroma Cafè, Nero has the same minimalist / chic design that almost every new restaurant has these days, that is, slate grey brickwork, complemented by red curtains and banana leaf chairs. It's a sexy looking place for sure and if you want a handy place to enjoy a bite or a coffee while shopping this is it. I had a latte which was nice and may come back sometime for something more substantial. The restaurant is open to the street so there is noise for those sitting at the front and being open air can be hot at certain times of the year.
Nero Bali's menu is broken down into:
Sandwiches (Salmon, Tomato, Soft Mayonnaise 26,000rp), Souvlaki Roll (Oriental Kebab with Pita Bread 26,000rp), Bruschetta (Tomato Basil 20,000rp), Soups (Prawn Tom Yam Soup 18,000rp), Salads (Grilled Chicken Caeser Salad 24,000rp), Pasta (Spaghetti con Tono 28,000rp), Pizza (all 28,000rp), Meats (Grilled Tuna Steak Pesto Sauce 30,000rp), Side Order (Thai Steamed Rice 8,000rp), Desserts (Tiramisu 22,000rp), Ice Cream (all 18,000rp).
All prices are subject to 15% government tax and service.
Nero Bali is open from 10am-12 midnight.

G’Day Nick,
I have been tempted to go in there from time to time. Thanks for making my mind up!. Reasonable prices and a good choice of tucker.
The Griled Tuna Steak sounds yummee.
