Lunch at Drops in Legian Bali

food060905.jpgLegian is crammed with places to eat and drink. One of the newest paces in Drops opposite Wayan & Friends on Jl. Padma. Drops features a modern western menu and uses a minimalist design. I have talked about this place before and wanted to explore their menu a little deeper. For lunch I had a Salsa di tuna, which featured, grilled tuna chunks, potato wedges, salsa and lettuce. It was tasty and made a pleasant change from my usual nasi campur (Do not forget Warung Murah on Jl. Double six for great nasi campur).

Drops is open to the street and fronts the swimming pool area of the Casa Padma hotel. Its a pleasant place and is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

On the Specials menu there is a mini-rijstaffel for 2 people (170,000rp) including soup and dessert. Rijstaffel means rice table and is a left over from the Dutch era. Basically you get many dishes assembled on your table, an Indonesian feast. My meal, plus watermelon juice and kopi Bali was 50,000rp. Drops is open at 7am and last order for food is 1am.
