Surfing on Kuta Beach Bali-part I

Bali means many things to many people and surfing is a big part of the picture for many people. Chris told me that his mate Anil from England won't lift a finger unless it has a pool cue or a drink attached, his favourite activity is sleeping. I suggested we all go down to Kuta Beach and give surfing a go, not that I know how, but its fun to try.

A friend of mine Alain from France, aka Frenchy, lent me his 7' 6" yellow bomb while he is out of the country. Chris and I got a cab down to Palu's surf shop and grabbed the board which came with a bag, but no leg rope. Pria and Anil met us down in front of Hard Rock Cafe and Anil was conspicuously wearing long pants. "Are you joining us?" I asked. "Aw, I don't know about that." He said. "I've done my knee in." It didn't matter because Pria was very game and with only 1 board between us Chris and I waded out and made sure Pria was okay.
