One of the shops that has maan ged to bounce back and up, from the first Bali bombing was Central Wave Painting on Poppies Lane II in Kuta. For those who have benn to Bali before, its at the top of those white steps close to Taman Sari restaurant, just before Pub Bagus.

The owner Komang is there everyday, framing and selling paintings of waves, produced by her husband. I have one on my bathroom wall, above the ‘Tex Ritter’. I was hoping the image of crashing surf would go nicely with the sound of flushing water.

Komang has a 9 month old baby and is back at work. Here’s what she had to say.
