Name: Dyah
Age: 32
From:
Java
Occupation:
Bartender
How long in Bali: 10 years

La Cabana is the restaurant / bar that sits at the end of Jl. Benesari and Jl. Pantai Kuta (the beach road). I used to go there when it was ‘deadville’. A few months ago it changed management and got tarted up a bit, with some new staff. One of those staff was Dyah from Java, who is the smiley bartender.

La Cabana is a good place to relax, enjoy a drink or a decent meal. The staff are sweet and the bar shows sports, if that’s what you’re into. One of the waitresses wanted to say hello to all the folks in Chicago including my friends, the Folinazo sisters (”Wassa madda widya?”). This afternoon I rushed in there because the wind came up and I thought it was going to rain. I got into a conversation with a pissed Australian ‘low talker’ seated across the bar. With his mumbling, the street noise, plus the music, I could understand about 1 word in every 10.

Dyah was looking hot today with her tinted contacts. I told her to get Lasik eye surgery and those things will be history.

Here’s what Dyah had to say.
