Sean and I rode our motorbikes down the Oberoi road this morning to Ku De Ta hotel and restaurant and sat on the deck for breakfast. To be honest I was moving fairly slow today after a good amount of red wine last night. Sean will be going back to the States soon and we’re getting things wrapped up, last night was part of our leaving celebration.
Ku De Ta is owned by Mr Kadek Wiranatha, the owner of Air Paradise and they do a pretty nice breakfast. The price is 45,000rp and you get a choice of fruit juice or smoothie, choice of coffee ( I had a latte ), choice of eggs and side items, sausage, bacon ( I had eggs benedict ) and fruit salad. It was very tasty. I usually settle for the 11,000rp bread basket and coffee so today was a nice change.
The staff outnumbered the diners and our waitress Ani came over and chatted for a while. She has worked in various big hotels in Sanur and Nusa Dua as well as working for a silversmith.
Sean and I had some good talks last night and today and we agreed that the life most expats can have here is actually better than back home in many cases. There are trade offs as always but a person with a pretty average business ( exporting silver jewelry, clothing, artwork etc ) can live at a level that would be out of reach back home. We’ll see how I feel a year from now.

anyone here can provide somethigs about the hotel facilities, room rate or any comments

I visit Bali usually twice a year and absolutely love Ku de Ta. I could recommend this restaurant to anyone. I like to arrive for breakfast at about 9 have the special breakfast eggs benedict with smoked salmon and then swim and relax for the day on the beautiful beach chairs sipping on cocktails and champagne around lunch time. Ku de Ta and the Verandah are my favourite restaurants in Bali.
to the best of my knowledge (my memory rather) ku de ta is a restaurant and a nightclub - not a hotel. I enjoy it most around sunset. Great drink and great music. I can’t wait to go back

Ku De Ta hotel and restaurant looks very decent, and food reasonable, considering what you get. That fruit salad was gorgeous!
And, Sean, you look pretty gorgeous yourself!
I really do like the pictures. Keep them coming.
