Jl. Majapahit pops out opposite the soccer field in Kuta. For those not so familiar, when you drive down Jl. Legian and come to the left hand loop, that eventually brings you back to Jl. Legian, halfway round is the top end of Jl. Majapahit.
Situated right there is Pura Dalem Kahyangan, the temple of the dead. All cremations for those in this immediate area are performed here. I walked in the open gates and snapped a photo. Statues guarding the entrance bore short swords.
Across the street the 2 ladies selling turtle satay were doing a brisk trade, with riders stopping to pick up a bag for later. Kuta has many temples and its interesting to stop and take a second look.
