Haircut in Salon Made: Kuta Bali

Friday afternoon I decided to trim the bush, the one on my head that is. Us Irish have hair like a thatch and I was feeling like getting rid of some of the heat retention. Usually I head to New Planet (formerly Monkey Planet) on Jl. Seminyak. They charge 70,000rp so today when I was in Kuta I stopped into a little place on Jl. Benesari just past Good Luck. Kuta is full of tiny one shop places offering haircuts, massage, facials, you name it.

Being a bit suspicious of whether they could actually cut hair I asked 3 times. Inside they told the price for haircut and shampoo was 15,000rp, a much better deal, as long as the person doing the cutting doesn’t poke my eye out with the scissors.

One attendant washed my hair while firing off 20 questions, where was I from, was I married, to who, where was she from , how many kids etc. They don’t waste time over here and get a pretty good profile of you in the first 5 minutes. The lady who cut my hair seemed like she knew what she was doing. I’m 42 and married, so even if I come out looking like Pee Wee Herman it doesn’t really matter. The staff gladly posed for a photo and I took a photo of their prices because its quicker than typing it.

If you want a cheap haircut in Kuta try Salon Made.

I could have told you they do an ok haircut Nick :) I always drop by for wonderful cheap manicures and pedicures and they do a nice massage too. There are always plenty of guys in the salon getting their hair cut, even had 3 guys in their once having a creme bath and they all had shower caps on, quite a giggle!
