Friendly staff at Mykonos in Seminyak Bali

The other night I went over to Mykonos on Jl. Oberoi for a quick bite. Sitting outside 3 staff (1 man and 2 girls) came over and started chatting. One of the waiters who’s name escapes me was a very entertaining fellow. Originally from Flores in Eastern Indonesia, he told me he had working in Ubud, now living around the corner. Of course they all wanted to know my situation and we got into a little Bahasa Indonesia, myself adding that I would like to learn Basa Bali. This guy offered that I should take both girls as girlfriends, which I thanked him for before saying I’m married.

Mykonos, like many other places has been quiet lately, the good thing is that you get personal attention and get to hear how the locals are doing. My meal was a chicken breast with spinach inside, potatoes and vegetables for 35,000rp. Very good! Mykonos serves Greek food and is a fun place for a group.

This evening on the way back from Taste I stopped in front, tooted all of them and said “Here’s my family.”
